Background Information

Recovering waste heat and generating electricity from the hot exhaust gas of gas turbines
located at pipeline compressor stations are seen as ways to promote increased energy
efficiency and reduce green house gas emissions. Pipeline companies with facilities in
the United States, in concert with the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America
(INGAA), have considered ways of expediting the development process for compressor
waste heat recovery projects. As a result of those considerations, a number of pipeline
companies have agreed to identify, on a voluntary basis, gas turbine compressor stations
on their system that:

Have a total gas turbine station capacity of at least 15,000 hp; and Operated at or
more than 5,250 hours per year (60% load factor) over the previous 12 months.

Gas Turbine Compressor Stations

The following Northern Border Pipeline gas turbine compressor stations meet the duel
requirements of having a total gas turbine capacity of at least 15,000 hp and operating
5,250 hours or more per year based upon the previous year's operational data.

Arnegard Compressor Station 4 - McKenzie, North Dakota

This posting is effective for the year 2018.

Compressor stations that have waste heat recovery units already installed are not included
in this list.

Additional information will be provided to third-party waste heat developers upon
request, subject to certain conditions and the execution of a confidentiality agreement.
